As a piano player and Euphonium player, I always love music the way I love poems and arts. To me, music is not something I treat as ambience, but my second language to connect with people soul to soul.
The very first attempt I made to music composition was in high school, where I made several attempts using MIDI and Cubase. As amateur as it was, my pieces were not anywhere near great. But that truly opened up a door towards a new world for me.
At Rice University, I took several theories and composition classes at college. Although not a music major, those classes were valuable gifts to me. The beautiful “Fairy Dream” was written to commemorate the spectacular campus scenes at Rice at Dawns and Sunsets.
